Meet our founder

At the age of 15, Danielle Johnson was an honor roll student involved in several extracurricular activities and working full-time. Danielle was also an expectant mother. As her belly grew larger, she noticed that some teachers no longer treated her like the star pupil and others treated her like a bad influence. It seemed like overnight people stopped viewing her as a girl with a bright future to judging her as a disappointment. Danielle decided it was her responsibility to convert all those negative perceptions of her into motivation to ensure neither she or her daughter would be counted out in the future. With a praying grandmother, a determined mother, and a trusted support system, Danielle proved her adversaries wrong.

Danielle went on to graduate from high school with honors, obtained her degree, and established a successful career. Her daughter became the first in the family to receive her master’s.

Today, it is Danielle’s mission to uplift young mothers who were similarly discounted after becoming a parent.
